The month of April marks the commemoration of International Jazz Day (30th), WIPO’s World Intellectual Property Day (26th) and more significantly, Freedom Day in South Africa (27th). The expert panel will delve into the nature of Copyright as it pertains to the South African Music landscape and adopt the metaphor of land as a framework through which to analyse and discuss IP and copyright related issues in an attempt to highlight the gravity and implications of ownership.
